This still amazes me, but they say simple minds are easily amused.
We've got one of the only large format printers in town. There is a lawyer in Nashville who sends her husband by on occasion to print things for her. I just printed a pdf of a survey from Grand Rapids, Michigan that was last updated 2 days ago.
The large plotters are nice. One of ours can plot 42" wide (we never us that size) but it also scans plats too. Real handy to have.
Amazing internet... One of the first tests I did with a Trimble R10 was to set it up as a base in Gonzales, LA with a SIM card in it and route the corrections through a server in NW AR. I then hooked a rover up to my WiFi and pulled down the correction stream from said server. So I had a rover running off a base some 30 feet away using a correction stream that was travelling to a server some 405 miles away and back. Worked like a charm.
