On Sunday morning our church held it's annual tribute to the Armed Services for the July 4th Holiday. As the orchestra played the anthem of each service the veterans of each stood to be recognized. Also an active duty and/or retired member of that service stood on the platform in dress uniform. As the Marine Hymn was played a young Gunnery Sergeant came out with his service dog, a black Labrador Retriever. The dog was in Marine blues also, including brass buttons and the white belt. Needless to say the dog was the hit of that portion of the service. I hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable weekend and remember the reason for the holiday.

That is fantastic. Our little church would probably have to make do with a Boy Scout and one Korean War era vet. (Sailor)
