When getting work done, I've always preferred classical as background and Bach is my composer of choice, just gets the synapses aligned for better focus. Aural mathematics at it's finest.
For pure emotion, Puccini does it for me, can bring me to tears with Nessum Dorma or the aria from Madame Butterfly every time.
