I’ve used Canvas by Occipital and Polycam for LiDAR scanning, and both offer accurate room captures with IFC/DWG export support. Matterport is also great for high-quality 3D models but can be overkill for simple floor plans. In my experience, LiDAR is much faster than photogrammetry and works better in low-light conditions, though photogrammetry can capture richer textures.
That said, I’d love to hear from others, what’s your go-to LiDAR tool for floor planning? Have you faced any integration challenges with BIM software? Let’s share insights!
Looking forward to your thoughts!

Matterport and accurate cannot be used in the same sentence.
Have a look at Iguide. It has a accurate horizontal lidar up until 1cm. I use it for quick virtual tours to give with b&w high quality pointclouds.
