Hi, I'm a 25 year experienced land surveyor who's recently taken on a new role.

I've spent time with GPR and electromagnetic detection for utilities, Topo and MBS, setting out, airfield surveys, railway surveys, monitoring, field work, management and finally back in the field as the in house surveyor for a small local practice.

Instruments range from Wild T2's with Distomats and Red Minis through Geodimeters and most of the recent Leica range (1100, 1200, TS15 and 16).

Loving my work again after a recent period of searching for a new career.

Would love to know more about scanning, however my current role means I will likely never have the opportunity again.

Nice to meet you, albeit online.

Welcome!?ÿ I made a similar career move almost 7 years ago and it was the best decision that I had ever made, I couldn't be happier.?ÿ Here's to hoping it works out as well for you as it did for me.

I don't do any field work at all anymore, I manage the survey department that I was hired to create.?ÿ When I took my leap of faith, I became the 12th employee of the firm.?ÿ We now employ almost 70 people and I am running 6 crews, have an admin staff devoted to survey alone and am enjoying the role of a mentor.
