There seem to be some threads missing. Where did they go?
Ah, Ha!!
In order to start this thread, I had to sign in because our power had gone off sometime today while we were out. Once I signed in, all sorts of threads appeared that had not been visible before. In both cases, my category list indicated that I was looking at all categories. Apparently, you only really get ALL categories if you are signed in. Interesting. I guess that keeps the innocent new folks from having their sensitivities scalded by some of the idiots posting in P&R.

Actually, the main reason behind that is search bots. We really only want to attract people that are surveyors or who are interested in surveying. So by only showing surveying-related threads to unregistered or non-logged-in users, the search bots only see surveying topics, thus only indexing same.
This is a good thing.
The only reason I became aware of this is the power disruption losing my connection to Beer Leg. Unlike another board for geomaticians (whomever they may be), once I connect to Beer Leg, I stay connected. That is wonderful. Thank you for setting this up like this.

Thank you and you're welcome. :hi5:
