Well that was a mess.
Not sure how it got so cobbled.
Bottom line above was a request for help, thanks.
Any ideas appreciated.
(when I put in that thumbs down, the screen got taken over with emoticons and I couldn't send them packing)

Another test off my Phone.
That also puts in an extra line.
Or I think it does. Screen size. But doesn't look right. :gammon:
Ah. I see one has to tap the Emoticon tab and they go away.

Now trying off my PC
that too inserts an extra space.
Pasted some lines below.
SS,OP207,FP216,AR319.30130,ZE90.19370,SD32.7540,--FL
LS,HI0.224,HR1.900
SS,OP207,FP217,AR268.26500,ZE89.20010,SD21.4020,--FL
SS,OP207,FP218,AR262.30520,ZE89.07590,SD28.8840,--FL
More options.
Doesn't change.
Now I do give up!

PS - I see other threads are same. Hadn't noticed until I started tying. It looks like this is how it is meant to be.
probably ease of reading which I don't have a problem with.
Best get back to work.

When posting from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, I would highly recommend using the Tapatalk app. it is available for Android, iPhone, iPad, and Windows Phone.

Sent from my Moto X2 via Tapatalk

Thanks Wendell
None meant as criticism, just trying to nut out what was happening.
I tried Tapatalk once but wasn't overly enamoured at time.
I'll revisit it.

No worries, Richard. I know you were just testing things out.
The line spacing is actually part of the design. I'm hoping to look at reducing that a bit in the near future. It's been a common complaint.

Wendell I thinks Paden's school bus example typifies the matter(s) at hand here.
My concern was if I was doing something wrong and needlessly padding out a post the wrath of the internet gurus would come down for wasting screen space.
It is quite easy to read spaced as it is.

I'd suggest we just enjoy the 'new yellow bus, that ain't like the old one', and give us space and time to see what really matters and if today's issues are real or just an unsettling as the roost we've come to inhabit for so long gains acceptance and homeliness.
Change is not often welcome. A lesson seemingly unavoidable in any life.

Just my 2 bobs worth.

We did actually adjust the line spacing and vertical padding between posts.
