When I'm using a public WiFi network I use a VPN, and i periodically get a page -- apparently related to this site -- notifying me about a spam firewall. The page says something about having to click to proceed

Well, that didn't work -- somehow the pre tag gets involved in what I'm trying to post.?ÿ Let me see if I can post it correctly here:

Nope - I can't get past the pre tag, and I don't know where it's coming from.

When I tried a few minutes ago to post a reply, I got a "something wrong with your data message" and got logged out.

I started this thread because of a spam firewall message, but weirder things are happening.

We do use a spam firewall and it will blacklist or otherwise attempt to protect the website when an IP has been compromised. But there's no way really for me to troubleshoot issues with the VPN or other third-party services occurring before you reach this website.

This may sound like a dumb question, but when you use your VPN, does it come from the same IP no matter where you are? If so, what is the IP address? I'll see if I can find it in our spam firewall log.

It varies, sometimes randomly and sometimes at my election.

I've been using the VPN for a year or so without issue until today.?ÿ The spam firewall thing has been there all along, but it hasn't been a problem because, as I tried to say initially, the message pops up and then disappears and then I'm at the RPLS Today page I wanted anyway.?ÿ (The misspelling of "below" is kind of annoying though.)

I've reported the misspelling error to the development team for that service.

I finally managed to get a screen capture on the page, which only persists for a second or two.?ÿ They fixed the spelling error!

Revisiting this thread, I see that I didn't address the pre tag issue. I'm not sure what is causing that and it's really hard to diagnose from here for specific users. But I might recommend that you tap the code icon in the editor and see if you can remove the opening and closing pre tags.
