Would it be possible/practical to add a profile setting that sets e-mail notification to on for every thread to which a user posts? It's pretty rare that I don't want to follow a thread in which I participate, but it's pretty common for me to forget to check the notification box.

If you go to your "user area" you can see all of the posts you have made and be able to check and see if there was a reply, at least until Wendell gets to that number on his "to do list".
