> I appreciate the message you posted from the person who displayed his "opinion" of your great website. You provide a fantastic place for surveyors to network (all at no cost to us, minus a free will contribution once in a while). Please don't let this person's comments diminish your contribution to this great profession. The comments remind me of the old saying "Better to let everyone think you are an idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
I agree you guys are doing a great job running this web-site.
Conversations occurring here are obviously intended to be shared with the public.
I feel it is inappropriate when members of this site publicize e-mails/letters they receive from clients or an engineer they are working with....no matter how humorous or stupid sounding the letter is. Publishing private correspondence, in a public forum is not very professional (even if the name is obscured). That's just my opinion.
However, if someone wants to throw stones while wearing a ski-mask.....
I can't understand what could possibly be wrong with it, unless the emailer specifically asked it to be kept private. Not trying to argue, but what's wrong with it, in your eyes?
Feel free to do as you please, no arguing here.
I guess it comes down to morals for me.
Everyone may operate under the assumption that I will never scan any correspondence and publish it on a public forum to try and generate ridicule about what you have stated/requested, no matter how stupid or ill-conceived it may sound.
Now with that said, some sort of anonymous insult deserves much less respect. I always enjoy a good laugh at the stupidity of the Nigerian scam letters 😉
