When I've copied and pasted into a post, it keeps the formatting of the place I copied from, which is usually not what I want. When I use a full-featured word processor, it gives me a choice of whether to keep the original format, or paste it as plain text. How can I paste as plain text in the Surveyor Connect forums?
By default, the editor will attempt to maintain formatting from the source. It does strip out anything that is not compatible.
You can toggle this off using the "paste as text" button in the editor. It looks like a clipboard with a T on it. If you click it a second time, it will return to its default state.
Optionally, and if your browser offers it, you can also right-click in the editor and then click "Paste as plain text". I'm using Microsoft Edge (the new one) and it works great.
@wendell Thanks. I tried the right-click technique in Firefox and the default Windows right-click menu appeared; nothing about paste-as-text.
