Is the site using HTML? I have tried using some HTML codes that aren't working when previewing before I post. I have notice the [ ] symbols instead of the , but that isn't the only difference... is it?

It uses BBCode and is automated using the buttons to the right of the message area when posting. You don't actually have to know any BBCode.

OK, I can see that I can see that BBCode does not allow for the creation of superscript for my signature as I could in full blown HTML. The TeX editor helps, but the font is different.
