...and 11 on the other site?
I logged in at the other site a while ago and went to the "Most Recent RPLS.com Posts" page and counted 11 posts for today (Sunday, Aug 29, 2010 at 8:15 PM Oregon Time).
Just prior to that I copied the expanded thread view here at "the Leg", pasted it as text into a Word document, and then did a search/replace for the string "2010-08-29". 130 occurrences were found. This doesn't include either site’s Politics and Religion forums or lounges or whatever they are. I also didn’t go to page 2 of Beer Leg, so mileage may vary 0.04’ or so.
This is sad. I don’t have any animosity towards RPLS… hell I’ve been a fan since 1996, but even Microsoft knew that Windows Vista was a clunker and put the ki-bosh on that. But maybe POB doesn’t want the forum traffic anyway and the new site is working for them on some other level. Like a market place for collectors of the first release of Widows Vista in the original packaging or something.
I thought it was sad too, but most of the posters from the old forum are now on this site, and our community is more important than the venue, IMHO.
