Every now and then, when i come back to the "top" of the forum, the server has forgotten that i always want to just have "My selection" showing. I don't notice that until i see a whole lot of non-surveying crud. No big problem, i just replace "All categories" with "My selection" again. But i wonder why it happens. I doubt that i accidentally choose "All cats".
(Of course, if we didn't have any non-surveying categories, it'd be even less of a problem 😉 )

This has been a problem for me from the get-go. I suspect one or more of my Firefox add-ons that allow me to restrict the privileges of certain sites, but I've never dug deep enough to root out the problem. It's a nuisance, albeit a tolerable one.
I notice it will forget my settings if I have a BeerLeg window open in my browser, leave for a while, then come back and hit "Refresh".
It always displays correctly if I click my Bookmark for BeerLeg, to come into the site fresh... The only time I see "All Categories" is when my browser has been sitting unattended for a while and I hit "Refresh" instead of the bookmark.
Hmmm... I had that same problem when I use IE. Firefox works fine.
Board polize suggest catagory a site issue....LOL

I've noticed a couple of times now where you have inferred that non-surveying threads have no place here.
From the "About Us" tab:
SurveyorConnect.com was created on June 30, 2010 to offer land surveyors a simple yet modern place to gather and discuss various topics online. SurveyorConnect.com provides a refuge for those who just want to get together and talk about surveying and other popular topics.
The wonderful thing about technology today is that virtually anyone can start their own website and run it their own way.
