I just purchased a topcon hiper lite + from a individual and when I look at the setting on topcon receiver utility the rover has a modem I think it's the fh915 but the base does not detect a modem so can I just download modem tps off topcon website and download the radio modem to the receiver or is this something a topcon dealer has to do or am I just doing something wrong all together
Yes, you could try using ModemTPS.
I recommend downloading Topcon Receiver Utility (TRU).
It is much newer and combines modem tools, with PC-CDU receiver tools.
I was using topcon receiver utility but it didn't have that radio option
I think TRU all versions have modem managing mode, try this.
In TRU click
DEVICE >Application Mode >Modem Managing
Then DEVICE >Connect
The first generation 915 radios aren't supported in Topcon Receiver Utility. Modem TPS should do the trick.
