We have the 1 watt Javad HPT401BT with internal battery. The only way that we were able to work was to dial it back to about 200 milliwatts and stay close to the base. We could not work at full power without loosing reception. We had to send the whole system back to Javad for them to look at what the problem is.
Does anyone know why manufacturers like to use UHF radios? I loved the VHF spread spectrum radio that I had on my Hiper Lite. I didn't have to do anything with the radio. No frequencies or power settings to play with at all and I could reach almost a mile with 1 watt. Does FCC not allow them to frequency hop on UHF?
