?ÿA District Chair in Georgia, would like to know why Big Globe won??t stop shoving round-Earth propaganda down our throats.
In an interview with David Weiss (AKA ??Flat Earth Dave?) and Matt Long on her ??Jesus, Guns, and Babies? podcast, the Chairwoman and her guests discussed biblical ??evidence? that the Earth is actually flat as a pancake. ??The people that defend the globe don??t know anything about the globe,? said Weiss. ??If they knew a tenth of what Matt and I know about the globe they would be Flat Earthers.?
??All the globes, everywhere? the chairwoman said later in the discussion. ??I turn on the TV, there??s globes in the background ?? Everywhere there??s globes. You see them all the time, it??s constant. My children will be like ??Mama, globe, globe, globe, globe?? ?? they??re everywhere.?

Okay, not to get political, but what is up with the GOP in Georgia? Jewish space lasers and now flat earthers, does kudzu have hallucinational properties?
ChatGPT says:
The overwhelming scientific consensus supported by extensive evidence confirms that the Earth is a sphere. The shape of the Earth has been studied and understood for centuries, and countless scientific measurements, observations, and experiments have been conducted to validate this fact.
The depiction of the Earth as a globe is not a conspiracy or propaganda but a reflection of scientific knowledge. The presence of globes in various settings, such as on television or in educational materials, is simply a representation of this widely accepted understanding of our planet's shape.
It's important to note that embracing scientific consensus and understanding the Earth's shape as a sphere does not negate personal beliefs or faith. Science and religion can coexist without conflicting with one another.
If there are specific concerns or questions regarding the shape of the Earth or related topics, it is advisable to engage with scientific experts and refer to peer-reviewed research for accurate information.
On both a professional and a personal level, it's incredibly worrying how much anti-intellectualism has taken off in recent years/decades.
It's always been around, but whereas in the past it was barely tolerated as a nod to free speech, it's now endemic and embedded because at some point we accepted the idea that it should be given equal time and consideration with serious, well-reasoned, consensus views about fundamental concepts. There's a big difference between someone who has a radical idea that is ahead of its time, and someone who holds a crackpot view because they think they are "punching up" against authority.
We're one of the most advanced nations on earth, but we also rank near the top when it comes to magical thinking. Not a good combination.

There's always been idiots; there's a lot more of them now, because there are a lot more people.
Truth in numbers; numbers don't lie...
The next thing you know they’ll be teaching it in school.
Cornbread are sqaured.
Pie are round.
You forgot the attribution to that philosopher Jed Clampett, who was responding to the genius Jethro Bodine.
@rover83 Wait .. what!? You spend all day fielding calls from customers thinking a survey should only cost $300, and you're just now breaking out the intellectual soap box ?
??? I've never said or implied that I field calls all day, much less from residential customers wanting $300 surveys. I don't do BD or marketing at all other than consult on scoping and feasibility. Which is probably good for both my employer and my sanity.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten on my soapbox at least a few times in the past.
Cornbread are squared.
Pie are round.
My cornbread are round, cooked in a cast iron skillet or in corn "sticks".

We have complete idiots from both sides of the aisle. One of our "esteemed" Congressmen (from the other side of the aisle) made the statement that "Guam would tip over if we sent any more troops and materiel there".

@rover83 I broad brushed that to mean registereds in general. I would have no idea how many customer calls you get.
I had thought of all the posts describing customer calls, and ideas they had on surveys.
And who knows, the earth may actually turn out to be flat shhhhh!

I was astounded when I saw this. GA Dem congressman Hank Johnson may be the dumbest person I've ever heard speak publicly. It's another thing I don't understand about todays political process. I think immediately after that little exchange took place, they should have simply voted to oust him from congress for lack of capacity to satisfy the duties of the position. Unbelievable.
That can't be real. If it is hopefully the guy is absolutely wasted out of his mind.
