I hate to throw perfectly good stuff away...

I found some cables (Trimble OM) that I have no use for.

1) short TDC1 to female 5 pin large lemo
2) 1 m TDC1 to male 5 pin large lemo - quantity 2
3) 1 m TDC1 to female DB9

Note: the TDC1 connector has 12 pins. It is not compatible with later data collectors

If anyone still has use for these, let me know. They are free.

If no TDC1 users chime in, I could use the ones with the large (1-shell) Lemo, both male and female. I still use a bunch of 4000SSe and 4000SSi units, and can always use more power connectors for custom cables and adapters. I'd be happy to pay for postage.

Thanks for considering!

You can have them, Jim. But, you would have to modify them, as all of them have the TDC1 connector at one end.

I still use a 4400 (no memory) with a TSC1 as a backup when needed. Works just fine.

Let me know.

I already have a few TDC1 connectors (which I think are made by Hirose) laying around that I've cut off in order to get the cable with a Lemo on it. I mostly use 18ah SLA batteries with the the 4000-series, and the batteries I have use a 3-prong circular MIL-C-5015 socket that the Ashtech Z-12 used. So I do a lot of custom cable-making, and it's a lot easier to start with a Lemo that's connected to a cable than to start with a bare Lemo.

Someday I'd like to see the manufacturing facilities that make up Lemo cables. They must have some pretty slick jigs and soldering rigs to get those teeny little wires into those teeny little pins and still have enough room to get a teeny little piece of heat-shrink tubing on each pin afterward.

That's the name I couldn't remember-Hirose.

I think they just use very small people with very small fingers....

I recently repaired a cable, had to solder 4 wires onto a connector (bigger than a lemo). Took me a while, I had not done that for many years.

Send me your address and I will mail them to you.

I have that cable (hirose to 9 pin RS-232 serial), and also two cables with the hirose connector at one end and large lemo 5 pin connectors at the other end.

I also have two TDC1 data collectors. One has a small crack in the screen, the other seems to be just fine. But, I do not have the batteries to check to see if they work. As far as I know they both should work. I got them years ago when I bought a couple of used 4400's, but I only have one 4400 left and I use a TSC1 with that.

You are welcome to have these items (free), I would only ask that you pay shipping costs.

my email is hamilton@terrasurv.com
