I am on the hunt for a busted Spectra Nomad 900. I could care less about cosmetics. I need the motherboard as mine is fried. I contacted Trimble and it isn't a part I could buy myself as the software is tied to the machines serial number. I'm looking at almost half the cost of a new Nomad for the part and install from Trimble dealers. I know one place was looking to hit me for almost $250 for the install. I can pull the board and do the swap in 10 minutes flat. Just need the board. I'll figure out the software.
It's not the right category but if anyone has been able to fix a bad motherboard feel free to pm me.

Marchinon, you must be both brave or talented or both; you would need to be able to crack their security code to get a motherboard working in another unit.

The motherboard contains everything except the I/O's. If the board comes from a spectra Nomad 900 it'll have a survey pro license attached to its serial number. If not, I know a few guys who may be able to transfer my license, although it isn't something you should be able to do.
Back to the topic.....anybody have a trashed Nomad 900?
