I have a Nikon Nivo 2C lying surplus for the last year since purchasing a robotic Trimble S6. It has Survey Pro 5.4 on board, it's the model with optical plummet, not laser plummet.
Has been used exclusively by me Jan 2011 to Jan 2013 and has always been well looked after. Calibration is out of date but I would get this done prior to a sale. A screen protector has always been used. Sale would include 2 batteries, international charger and case. Serial no. will be supplied on request.
No-one is interested in the UK as the Survey Pro software isn't really known or liked. 95% of engineers/surveyors favour Leica here as it's what they know. So - if anyone from US/Canada was interested I would be prepared to ship. Transaction would probably best be done through Ebay/Paypal for safety, although I would be open to other sensible suggestions. I am a trusted Ebay seller of many many years standing - ebay ID redrog23.
I will not entertain or respond to any daft requests involving Western Union transfers etc; etc;. Or from any countries I consider to be potentially unsafe. Please don't take offence.
I was thinking of around £3000 (= $5000 USD, $5600 CAD).
We could come to an arrangement to split the shipping and Ebay/Paypal fees.
Fully insured shipping estimated about £200 = $320 USD.
Please let me know (by email initially) with no obligation if you are interested, it's just looking a bit lost on the shelf and I can't see it getting used much, if at all in future.
Still available if anyone is interested.
It's a really nice & portable instrument.

thanks for the offer, but thats way out of my league, !! im not a surveyor by trade otherwise would probably pay more for one and with everything that they can do !! i just do basic projects here and there and like to do my own measurements, as paid a lot of monies to surveyors to double check my work. as like to get my doings certified after using just basic surveying equipment !! and also will be buying land, and want to survey it on my own, to give me some experience using a robotic total station !! im currently browsing at units under $1700 thousand dollars us, whether complete or not !! as long as i can get a robotic station that works !! dont know if the tripods i got for my basic equipment might suit a total station ??
regards
george
wasn't actually asking you to buy, just showing the prices that they go (or don't for) seem to be a bit cheaper than in Aus.
Best of luck with your $1700 robotic. Aluminium tripods not generally recommended for accurate work with total stations, a little bit of twist makes a big difference. robotics put even more strain on them.

thanks for the advice !
i wish i could by something that will do everything and spend a few thousand dollars !! but unfortunately i cant, and also wouldve like to negotiate with your nikon, as the japanese do make some quality products !! from what everyone tells me, nikon make some of the best lenses !! i also knew that using my other tripods would go the distance !! nevertheless have to keep searching for a robotic auto tracking station or a unit that can be upgraded to all that with parts availability !

Squowse: is this still available?

Well I let my robotic go, so didn't push to sell this. But I would sell it, as not getting used (I have equipment provided by my employers).
Not for less than the price quoted above though (?3000), or VERY close. That's a lot less in dollars than it was then!
Hello,
It's me again, Rich Roberge. Do you still have this instrument? I might be interested again. ??ÿ
This seems to be a very old post.?ÿ Is the Nivo still available?
