What year is it or does the 2005 tell me that?

Is it reflector less, or not? The 2005 I think means it is a 5" gun, in the 2000 series.

Does it have the laser plummet, or optical?

Does it have the removable tribrach?

Thanks,

N

There may be a suffix to the model number.

For example, mine is a GPT-3005LW which is a long range reflectorless and wireless (bluetooth) instrument.

I think the P in GPT stands for "pulse" which means it has at least short range reflectorless capability.

The GPT-2005 is a 5" reflector less total station. $4500 seems a little high for a gun that old. Two reflector less models have been introduced since.

I concur, steep for the age. FOUR (4) refectorless topcons released since the 2000 series, not including robots.

Good instrument.

Approx. 8-10 year old gun and reflectorless range is limited.

Fair market value with calibration papers?

Around $2,000.

Check prices from used instrument dealers. That should be your best guide, with consideration of the fact that theirs will be freshly calibrated and the batteries tested.

For instance, a company that acquires, recalibrates, and sells a lot instruments has one on ebay buy-it-now for $3500.

Someone is also trying to sell one for $6500, which is out of line with everything else seen in this thread.

You are looking at 2500 without recalling batteries or calibrating the instrument.
