I'll bite. What is the State of Montana doing with relatively modern balloon theodolites?

apparently nothing, that's probably why they're being surplused....:snarky:

but seriously, I'm not sure which state agency would have used them. Maybe the university.

they also have that the set of 4 Tamaya theodolite units of which I'm not sure their usage....
Triangulation?

I was just hoping that the Montana National Guard wasn't planning on shelling Idaho and so had decided to pawn their balloon theodolites for surveying winds aloft.

It appears you have to pick them up or pay a shipper to go get them.

200 bucks for 5 seems like a good deal.

You need to track the weather balloons in order to have an effective cloud seeding program.

Obviously Montana is manipulating the weather over North Dakota in an effort to create a drought to counter Dakotan hegemony brought about by their newly found petroleum wealth. Duh.

AMMO UP.

Kent-

They may be good for looking around corners too with the right angle telescope set up!

😛

Cheers,
