Had a client pull this out of his closet and asks me if I am interested in it. He wanted me to make him an offer, but I declined because I have no idea what it is worth. I didn't want to short change him, but also didn't want to get taken all the way to the bank either. Anyone know what it may be worth?

Try looking at what similar instruments go for on ebay. Dietzgen or K&E go for a very $few hundred depending on model, condition, accessories, etc.
How badly do you want it on your shelf? Are the optics clear and the crosshairs intact? Corroded spots on the scales?
This looks like a Berger half-minute instrument horizontally, but if that's the vertical scale I see, it's in bad condition.?ÿ

I have seen similar going for $300-500.?ÿ If someone asked me, I would pay about $300 for that one.?ÿ If the optics were in good to great condition maybe a little more.?ÿ?ÿ
