Hello,
Not a fan of ebay, so thought I would post here first, and directly to the survey community.
I am selling my 5603 Robotic Total Station Set-up for $7000.
The Robot?ÿComes with:
Spectra Precision Ranger with Survey Pro?ÿV5.2
Power Pack (brick batteries, cables & chargers 360 prism, 2.4 GHZ Blue Dot radio?ÿ& other msc items?ÿ)
(1) extra 360 prism with bent shaft, but still works
(2) graphite rods each with power stick (battery)
(1) Seco Bipod
?ÿHistory: I bought the set-up?ÿit used from California Surveying & Drafting around 2007 or 2008 (I am not sure if I still have the bill of sale somewhere), who had acquired it as a trade-in from Cal-Trans- needless to say when I got it - it was hardly touched. I have used it up until October of 2017?ÿwhen I bought a new Robot and so?ÿit has been just sitting around since.?ÿ I can honestly say this gun has been amazing & still works fine- the autolock in my opinion is really good & is the one thing?ÿlacking on my newer gun which just has the passive lock system. Also the UHF radios work really well-?ÿyou can get up to?ÿ+/-?ÿ1/2 mi range with them where as my newer Bluetooth system seems to top out at around 1300'.
The original tsce data collector that came with it went out on me in 2013, so I purchased a new Ranger with Survey Pro version 5.2, which I do have the invoice for.
The only issues might be?ÿbatteries from sitting around & not being charged regularly for the last year.?ÿThe Ranger doesn't seem to hold a charge. The brick batteries seem okay, but?ÿusing them for a full day would really tell you.?ÿBoth power sticks seem to accept a charge too. I have had all of the brick batteries & both power stick batteries re-built by West Texas Battery at one point or another- which they can still do if any of these does not hold a charge.?ÿ Also the little spring that holds the brick battery to the radio was lost, so I have been just taping them for that last 5 years, which they will never come undone in the field on you. I also installed the metal clip that holds the radio to the data collector bracket, so no more plastic piece busting off & radio falling to the ground.?ÿ I have dropped the rod throughout the years- thus the bent 360 prism, but the gun has never been dropped. Also one of the three brick batteries plastic "rails" which allows it to slide onto the radio broke partially, but the two other batteries is really all I need.?ÿ The gun I run off of a 12V motorcycle battery which will last beyond any 12 hour work day.?ÿ I also have?ÿthe clip on?ÿfaceplate for it, but it no longer works for some reason.
?ÿ
Thanks,
Robert
