The annual workshops sponsored by TSPS Chapter 23 (North-East Texas Chapter) are about a month away to be held in the Jefferson area.

I'll be coming in to share some knowledge again.

On Friday May 9, 2014, we'll be having a historical based workshop, but with a twist. I'll do a couple of modules from my workshop "Early Surveying Techniques & the Evolution of Surveying Equipment" that I have not previously covered there, but then we'll add a new twist to the workshop where we'll cover the evolution of some of the "newer" stuff - specifically focusing on WILD of Heerbrugg, Switzerland. For the field exercise I'll be bringing along a load of Wild equipment including T-0, T-1, T-16, T-2, T-3, T-4, T2000's, T3000, subtense bars, etc. with hands on experience on all of them. This will be a fun and informative day.

On Saturday, May 10, I'll do my "Comparative Ethics" workshop so that the guys and gals from TX can meet their mandatory requirement. This workshop has been very well received over the past couple of years and is approved in several states.

The sessions will be held at the Kellyville Community Center.

A Harris (a poster here) will probably add additional details and a web link for additional details when it is up or you can contact the Chapter President John McNutt or Johnie Ingram in Jefferson.

Y'all come!

OOPS - Chapter 23 postponed

Just got a call that Chapter 23 has had to postpone the workshops. Everything was good as of this past Friday, but some things happened over the weekend for the guys down there and they decided discretion was better than trying to force something that might fall apart.

We'll keep you posted about future dates.

If it works out to be the same weekend as the Civil War re-enactment like it did a few years ago, that was a blast. My wife really enjoyed it and I got to see all the main events.
