Land surveyors or party chiefs here seem to hunt and hunt for a BS degree on-line.
Dr. Jefferys, surveying professor, has indicated that this will be a BS degree totally on-line.
Of course, you can drop your plumb bob, and go to Corpus Christi to finish your BS degree.
The on-line courses have to be mentored by a Texas RPLS. I do not know a RPLS who have
the time for that much monitoring.
Not sure about the mentoring part, I do know that the department there is very easy to work with. Make a valid argument for your situation, you never know. I really enjoyed the Master's program there and got a whole lot dumber because of it. (the more I learn, the more I learn how little I know)
I have also been speaking with Great Basin College in Nevada and they have a program that is all online. Right now the program is not accepting new registration because they are considering closing the program due to low enrollment. I think they would like to get the program back on its feet.

Schools are starting to realize that the majority of their students cannot study on the campus.

It would be interesting to see some statistics on the number of new licensees after most states cut off non-degree applicants.
I have several friends that are certainly smart enough to get a degree, but they have a family to feed and bills to pay.
Before committing yourself to an on-line degree program, you'd have to be sure that your state would accept the degree.
