Thanks for the link. Interesting article. Nice magazine.

While the subject article discusses the offsets from the ARP, the choice of GPS antennas more importantly involves antenna phase models allowing correction for the differences in the way the signal is tracked by different antenna types. The long available relative antenna calibrations have been replaced by absolute calibrations in software like PAGES, GAMIT, etc. I do not think the GPS manufacturers have done anything to incorporate the absolute models. Perhaps I am wrong.

BTW, the article by California's NGS State Advisor, Marti Ikehara, is pretty good too.
