The OPUS Projects Workshops fill up fast and the schedule looks pretty sparse. Is this the only place they're listed?

As far as I know yes. You try contacting the folks doing the training to see if you could organize the training in your neighborhood. Find a day and venue that works for the Trainer and maybe they will come to you.

You could try contacting Bill Stone your regional NGS Advisor to see what he is planning. I recently spent a week with him and 2 other NGS advisors developing a data set to be used in OPUS Projects classes.
