Many thanks to Larry and Vicki. I received my programmed hp35 today, should get my book Monday. Now I have all I need for the PS Exam. This calculator should save me a lot of time on the test. Now to get familiar with the programs over next few weeks.
Thank You
Mark

Mark,
You did the right thing. Don't just get up to speed on that 35. You need to use it for everything. Get to know the easy stuff and the hard stuff! I can remember LS review courses where some of the (students) could not do the calcs for State Plane on their calculators because they did not even know how to enter those polynomials. It was sad to me because everyone knew that there was going to be at least one problem with that solution required. Even with the formulas available they could not work the problem! Don't be like them.
Best Wishes!
Luke

I can do the math long hand too. I just bought it for speed. I've been studying for the last month heavy, and passed the LSIT with just my 33. Took the sample test long hand and did well. I'm more worried about the State Specific since I've only been in Kansas a year. 16 years of my work was in Wa. State. Kansas Society of Surveyors puts out a binder with all the state laws. Made that purchase a couple weeks ago and have been reading through it. I'll be running through the sample test again using the programs in the 35, to get used to the order of input, and how the answers come back. My plan is to take my 33 as well since it has been my calculator for last 4 years.
Thanks for the advice. Have a great evening.
Mark
