Any members here planning to be there? I just registered...better late than never. Not staying in Bonner Springs...too close to Lawrence to not enjoy some Free State beer.

Not I.?ÿ Too close to home.?ÿ Only about 120 miles.

There is one session that I would really be interested in attending.?ÿ Not worth spending so many (total) dollars for only one session, though.

@stlsurveyor

Did you make it to Bonner Springs??ÿ Was it worth the journey and the expense?

@holy-cow I did make it out to the conference. Overall it was terrible and not worth the money. The keynote speaker was a retired NGS member who was instrumental on the 2022 datum. His presentation was somewhat okay - but way too much detail for a group of surveyors. I know we need to know what the changes are, why and how they affect us but.....Worse part, he talked for hours on end - straight - no potty breaks - no breathers....

I kept thinking is this scene from the 80's movie Better off Dead...

?ÿ

That clip was highly representative of my Economics I class in college, except for the enthusiastic fellow students.?ÿ The nice Teaching Assistant from Yksprcjippl, Pakistan repeated everything three times before moving on.

"If the price of coffee goes up, people will buy more tea."

"IF the price of coffee goes UP, people WILL buy MORE tea."

"If the PRICE of COFFEE goes up, people will buy MORE TEA."

SNORE SNORE SNORE SNORE SNORE SNORE is pretty much all I heard out of my classmates in that big lecture hall where we had assigned seats alphabetically, placing me in the second row.?ÿ Oh, the agony for 90 minutes twice each week.

I took a summer class at 8:00 am before going to my work-study job.?ÿ I was spending a lot of late nights with friends, so wasn't up to full speed at that hour.?ÿ Unfortunately, that professor talkedinanabsolutemonotoneforthewholehour.?ÿ I didn't learn that subject as well as I should have.
