Yuma 2 2.4Ghz Radio Driver Problem
Hi,
I recently had a Trimble RST655 and Yuma2 with SCS900 3.70 added to my tool set. I’ve been using an older Yuma 1 with Trimble Access and so far the SCS900 software appears to be a big step backward in terms of usability and flexibility. Does anyone have the same general impression or do I need to learn more about it before I arrive at a conclusion
On top of all this, there appears to be a hardware or driver issue with the bolted-on 2.4Ghz radio (FTDI/Cirronet). The device will work all day if I don’t use sleep. When I do use sleep, the radio stops working completely. It shows up in Device Manager as an (unknown usb device) and indicates windows has stopped the device.
I have updated the Tablet to the latest Windows 7 os that Trimble provides, which is v1.0.0.14.
To me this has every indication of a driver issue but I cannot find any other driver than the ones automatically installed by the Trimble Installation Manager.
Would it be worth a shot to try Trimble Access on this device? Does Trimble Access use different drivers? Has anyone had similar issues with this hardware configuration?
Thanks
