That photo reminds ME… In the early eighties I had a mechanical engineer roommate, US Army employee, working on the development of night vision goggles. Secret technology back then.
Our house was on a lake.
He’d bring prototypes home, get stoned, and wander around the back yard at night.
That ended when he fell off the dock one night wearing the goggles.

That actually looks pretty amazing. I’d be worried about the long term effects from having all that gear on my noggin though.

I could see anyone over 6’3″ running into every transom in their path causing some sort of L&I claim.

@daniel-ralph good point…we seem to have above average height in the survey world, so maybe that would bring the numbers down if we hire shorter people.
