WANT TO BUY USED DRAFTING TABLE – DFW
Posted by Jeff D. Opperman on January 17, 2011 at 8:45 pmJust got a note from a lady looking for a used drafting table in the Dallas/Ft.Worth/Wichita Falls area of North Texas. She wants something about 42×30 in size. If you would like to part with one, drop me an email and I will put you in contact with her. Thanks

I have three (3) four post 60 Inch Maylines but they are in Pennsylvania
try craigslist. it’s not just for whores anymore!
rotflmao Snoop!!!!
Oh, and not just for serial killers either – don’t forget.
a 4×8 sheet of 3/4 oak plywood cut to whatever size wanted, some 1×2 oak for edging all around and 2x4s for a frame. Just add water (OK screws and glue) and voila, instant custom drafting table.

Are you looking to sell those tables?
Made mine from a solid oak hospital door without an opening for a window, heavy sucker, about 4′ X 8′ and 1 1/2″ thick. Used a piano hing and attached it to a large heavy metal desk with provisions to change the slope. Intended to put a dowel along the front to protect any drawings that needed to be pulled down but never found the need, so it is still dowelless. Still have a large light table in the office that gets used religiously, at least once every 3 years anyway. The lady could probably get something that big built locally if someone would suggest it to her.

> judman, I wish I had a nice light table… I’ve had 2 or 3 people “say” they’d make me one cheap… and then never heard back from them. If I get ahead a little bit ($$$) I’ll make myself a cheap one, but usable.

plywood box, some frosted glass and a couple of cheap fluorescent light fixtures is all you need.
