Too Much Faith in Your Tripod
A good chainman saved our Robot on one setup in an underground parking structure that had shiny slippery lacquer like coating. Set up, then used a star bit into the concrete, and the points fell in nice and solid. Watched a bipod go down with an expensive 360 prism. I don’t know why anyone would leave a plumbed up bipod alone. I think the start of my heart condition was working solo at a school and a little runt ran through the legs of a S6 mid survey. No harm no foul…Lot of cones and flagging went up after that!
But never not had faith in our tripods….Just the person setting it up at times.
