Texas – Land Survey Business Ownership Question.
Posted by tim-v-pls on February 23, 2022 at 1:55 amDoes a land surveying company located in Texas have to be owned by a licensed surveyor?
Scenario would be licensed in Texas surveyors on staff but owned by someone not registered. Is that allowed?

@another_texas_surveyor Actual staff in house or a branch of some conglomerate? Shooting from the hip, I’d say SAM if it’s the latter. Just a wild guess, I have no experience with TX.

SAM is the largest surveying firm in Texas. We were RPLS owned but now we’re owned publicly by a board of investors. We have multiple staff surveyors, 1200+ employees and 30 offices spread across the US.
