Hi Again Murphy, I would be great to spend a few minutes with you on the phone if you are willing. I probably shouldn’t put my phone number on here but if you are willing, please email me your contact info at [email protected]
If you can’t, that’s no problem, I appreciate help that you have already given me.
Hi Bad, It’s good to know that they asked hydrology questions. Were the hydrology questions calculations or were they more fact/informational based? I’m approved and plan to schedule the test in the next few weeks.
I am also in the application process for the TN exam. I am currently licensed in MS. I am also interested in the format of the drainage questions. Any input would be appreciated. Also, is the “4 Steps West” book on the TAPS site helpful in preparing for the exam?

I just got back from the TAPS convention exam review class. It seems like the drainage questions will be fairly basic because of time constraints and also because the exam is computer based. I can send you the class notes from the drainage section if you like. Email me at [email protected]
I am thankful and relieved that I passed the test this past Thursday. It did not hurt that I studied the TN Statues related to Surveying and Planning and Zoning repeatedly as well as the board rules. Be ready for basic hydrology also.
