SurvCE connect to Topcon 815a
When my radio dies I would like to be able to switch over and use the instrument at as a conventional instrument. The problem is it never wants to connect. I assume I pick Topcon Direct (motorized 800). Does anyone have experience with this setup that can give me advice?

What “new” connection method are you using, cable to DC?

I am, I think I figured it out. Seems you have to go into STD (F2) option on the instrument before it recognizes a connection in SurvCE. Im guessing prior to that its not sending out info on angles and distance
