surface files locked in LDD
I’m running LDD 2008. I also have C3D and I believe I must have opened this dwg in the “virtual Xp mode” in C3D2010.
When I try to build the surface, it gives me a warning that the surface files have been locked by virtual xp yadayadayada…
How do I unscrew up these surface files? Anyone know how to do this? When I look at the surface files in windows exporer and check their properties they are not locked.

If you have C3d10, use the “import Landdesk” and drill to the project

I’m actually working in LDD2008. I think the problem may have been created by C3D 2010. I don’t want to work in C3D…

True that, if you opened it in c3d10 its hosed, sorry I think you have to rebuild it, maybe try to export a .xml

It is worth a try, look in your “project folder” for a surface*.lk# file and delete, but don’t empty the recycle bin yet, as you may want to restore and try something else. -
Thats it. There were lk files in the project folder and the surface folders. Thanks. Ain’t this great?
