I have setup a fundraiser for Ryan’s family here: https://www.gofundme.com/ryan-versteeg
I will make sure that the funds are sent directly to Ryan’s wife so that she can use them for expenses.
Your friendly, virtual neighborhood WebmasterTerrible loss, my condolences. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting the man or corresponding with him, I’ve had the pleasure of retracing his work in conjunction with projects I’ve been involved in, always stellar. A true loss to the community.

I’d like to know that too.
We don’t know yet.
Your friendly, virtual neighborhood WebmasterSo very sad to hear about this. Heartbroken for Staneli..
This is terrible. Damn it. One of those guys who, when you read their posts you go “boy howdy, I wouldn’t mind sitting down and talking survey with this guy over a couple beers”.
Truly bad news….would have liked to sit down and have a chat with him….condolences to the family…
Ronald W. BerrySorry to hear this, we were connected both here and on FB, will miss him, condolences to his family. You miss a lot when off grid for a week!

that is very nice. I am glad you are doing that.
It is absolutely none of our business, but the nature of the accident is the subject of lots of chatter.
It would be nice if the rumors about were put to bed with some sort of explanation.Peter Ehlert, post: 435182, member: 60 wrote: It is absolutely none of our business…

As far as how Ryan passed, I don’t know anything. If I find out, I still have to keep the families privacy, regardless. If I have permission, then I can say something. But I’m not going to ask…I just want them to come over and have a much needed break for a while, and if they want to talk, I am here. ?§
Admins WifeOk guys…
Staneli came over earlier today. Right now, she is a wreck, which is to be expected. She is very appreciative beyond words at the outpouring that has been shown regarding Ryan. I told her everyone was wondering, rumors were started, etc… She said to not worry, that when she’s ready, she will let everyone know exactly what happened (or give us permission to let folks know.) Until then, I can’t say much except that it was not auto, fire, fall, electrocution, poisoning, murder, suicide, or anything like that related. I asked her what to say and she said to just say what I just said, and that it is “pending”.
That’s all for now… Services are Sunday here in So. Cal.
Please send Ryans family many many warm thoughts, prayers, etc…
Hug your loved ones tight!!!~Angel
Admins WifeHard to believe that it has been 2 years today since Ryan left this earth. ????
I go through my memories on FB and every time I see a Ryan reply, I have to hit the love button. ?
He use to give me a buncha crap about my ball team and I’d give it back to him about his. It was all in fun of course! ????But, it was him who we went to Angel games with when we were in town. I gave him all of my father in laws vintage Angel goodies when my FIL passed away. Ryan was so thrilled! He was like a kid in a candy store with the 1980’s Angels chair pad. I asked him if he was going to take it to the stadium to use. He said NO! hehehe
We miss our friend; our baseball buddy. He was such a very kind hearted person. ???§
