Message: “Hi, you guys did a survey and I would like to get a copy of it, it’s in XYZ subdivision.” from a local charity.
I finally get time to call back, and he needs a Lot 7, Block 2.
I know we did a couple of these PUD’s numbered 1-5 and another surveyor did the others, since I’m not sure which ones we did I start looking for the survey of the lot.
Can’t find one, so I call him back.
After a back and forth and some searching I finally figure out he needs the subdivision plat, we never did a site survey for that lot.
The plat is on file at the courthouse, which he can pick up anytime, they would probably send him a copy. That is my standard response.
But, since it’s a local charity, I get his email, I have a PDF of the entire subdivision and send it on to him.
I look at the time and most of an hour is gone.
Since we have done some work for them, I enter time and figure that will be a donation, but really how will they build anything when they can’t even get a copy of the subdivision plat.
