Regional CAD and Carlson Classes – Recommendations?
I am interested in holding a series of regional CAD and Carlson Software classes around the country similar to the ones I hold here in North Carolina. I have several topics that I’ve outlined and that are popular, but I am willing and happy to customize 1 or 2 day classes on just about any topic that’s requested. When possible, I also coordinate with the state licensing agency so that the classes meet PDH/CEU requirements.
My main challenge in having regional classes is notifying the surveyors, engineers and contractors in the area without spending an outrageous amount on advertising. I am building my database but it’s still primarily in the southeast. A group in Texas is helping me coordinate with their local Society chapter, taking requests for training topics and may arrange for me to come in to make a presentation or hold a class or both. One of the members works at a Community College and thinks I’ll be able to use a classroom there.
If you have any suggestions on how I could get the word out in your area, contacts at your local Society, recommendations about logistics or just general feedback on what I’ve outlined above – I’d love to hear it.
Thanks in advance.
