RE: My Survey is Wrong…
From about 1965 to 1975 the world was on a collision course with reality. Anything that was viewed as “normal” was being labeled in a wide variety of negative ways. It was ordained that those who were still wet behind the ears should lead the blind into the future as anyone over thirty was not to be trusted. The imagined power that came with that was incredibly intoxicating to those who knew not failure nor hard work.
Many of those who challenged “the establishment” were brilliant thinkers, which made them believe they were absolutely correct about everything and anyone who dared to say otherwise was “some garbled message carrier of mediocrity stuffed into a lifeless, brainless mass of human garbage”.
Too many bright lights burned out in a few short years of thrills and chills, wasting opportunities to benefit mankind over the long term.
Just think, those are the old people now sitting in our halls of power.
