Positional Tolerance TBC
Posted by rlshound on January 23, 2019 at 6:53 pmHello,
Could someone please tell me if there is a function in TBC to check positional tolerance on RTK collected data?
If so could you briefly explain how to use it?
Thanks, Paul

Not quite sure if this is what you are looking for, but you can display horizontal and vertical precisions in the Vector Spreadsheet and then simply sort that sheet in an ascending or decending order. That same info is displayed in the Vector List from the Reports function, but I don’t think can set it up to flag or sort the data in there.

Thanks for getting back to me Alan, I’ve used the Vector Spreadsheet before. The attached is about positional tolerance, haven’t found a function in TBC yet that addresses this.

Contact your Trimble dealer. They should be able to help you setup a report that shows the positional tolerances on a each shot taken by GPS.

I’ll admit I work for MicroSurvey,
It would be good to point out that a lot of people get into STAR*NET when they discover they are required to report positional tolerances. STAR*NET has a positional tolerance section in the listing that allows you to either report all the details or just a pass/fail report. STAR*NET allows you to mix your brands of equipment and get consistent results.

In TBC the network adjustment report will show you your positional tolerance report. It is similar to the data you are looking for to meet ALTA standards. Keep in mind you will need to have all those all important redundant measurements in your survey data set. You can also customize this report a little if something is not there that you are looking for.
