Piddly theft
I was at a shopping center at dawn so I could use GPS to get a section corner, which unfortunately happens to be in one of the driving lanes of a busy road, but not at 6:20 am. I had two tall traffic cones and three middle sized ones, and traffic was really light, so no problem. I get back to the base, hidden in sort of a box canyon between a tall wall, tall wood fence, and a building. And what had they stolen from the red suitcases? The two rubber ducky antennas and the two short antenna cables, which I seldom use. Can’t be worth $100 brand new, maybe $2 at a pawn shop. They left the $30,000 base station untouched, so they were probably on foot.
So, anyway, I’m thinking of getting a Brinno time lapse camera. They are only $180 or so, runs on batteries, and takes tons of time lapse photos, say every 5 seconds. Real easy to hide.
