NorCal here
Hi, I’ve been a rod and I man for a couple years. I came from construction where I set grade for a couple years prior to that, old school with a ruler and an eye level. The more I understand what we are doing in the field the more I really enjoy it. The math and the challenge of deriving coordinates using different technologies really appeals to me. But I am a bit bookish and a history person too, so the law and the procedures also appeal to me.
I just passed my FS exam and am waiting for the LSIT cert to come through. I am hoping to get into remote sensing with drones, as well as good ol’ dirt work.
I stumbled upon this site because I was looking for an answer to a Lieca TS16 question, and the answer was here. The cool thing was there were three different ways to go about getting the measurement I wanted in the first 10 comments of the thread I was looking at. 2 with software, and one old school method. THAT IS USEFUL.
