So that rtx is fascinate for sure. Have a guy here that has been testing it for a while and he loves it for rural boundaries in mountains. Those boundaries where it states up the side of a mountain to a stone or tree at top of ledge.

RTX is definitely a great tool. I always have two subscriptions active (one for me and one for my only employee). And my two Alloy receivers also have it permanently. In the lower 48 US (and other areas) where they have fast init, it is almost as fast as VRS. Other areas it takes up to 15 minutes or longer to initialize.
Where there is no VRS it is the best way to go. And as a fill in when there is no cell.
Horizontal accuracy is very good. Vertical slightly less but typically 3 to 5 cm.
HOWEVER, it does have limitations. It is sensitive to obstructions, and will not work well (or at all) in the woods or even light trees. Last year in Ecuador I had a lot of trouble one day, would take really long to initialize, or not even init at all, or init and then loose init a few minutes later. That was likely due to high ionospheric disturbance. Next day it was OK. When I go back to Ecuador this year I am taking another receiver to be able to do local base rtk over UHF. The area I am working in there has little to no cell.
I have a bunch or work coming up in high latitudes, and the geosynchronous satellite coverage is poor. Yes, RTX is also available over cell, but cell is also poor up there. I was told by someone at Trimble that the Zephyr Geodetic 3 antennas are better at receiving low elevation RTX corrections that an R10/R12.

The surveyors I’ve talked to that use it, love it till there is any type of clutter. It’s great in the wide open.

@john-hamilton.
You might note I never claimed it is particularly speedy.
I understand it is much quicker to init where you can get RTX(Fast).
Unfortunately that does not include DownUnder yet.
Survey is also greatly aided by the latest firmware for the R12i which is about 4x faster than previously
