Uhhmmmm… a super small sized retro encabulator modified to perform full on hystericmies (sp?).
Or perhaps, a hand crank hammer drill?
I’m guessing the spring loaded spoon-looking thing on top would be for …. use your own imaginations.
:-SLooks like a surgical bone drill to me. Kind of creepy…
Bingo!
“Kind of creepy…” Yes, but better to have limbs than have them removed.
A very fine tool it is… fine materials: high grade stainless and bronze alloy. Well designed and very well crafted… almost watch like.
The sprung thumb tab unlocks the drill shaft when it is depressed.
made for zero maintenance, non lubricated I assume … wash and then into the autoclave. It was frozen solid the last time it came out of the autoclave.
I freed it with WD40, washed with dish soap and water, then used a couple spots of olive oil.An electric drill is primary, but despite being archaic it is still in use for tricky times.
