Thank you, Scott for correcting the link.
How much does a document like the Viza Plat Report cost?
It is no more than a worksheet created from the information that is on public information about the subject tracts that are created without any ground verification.
Many law offices and realtors use similar software to deed check for closure and acreage.
I have a few clients that can not read any map or understand what any property description offers. They see lines, numbers and words that have no meaning to them. All that satisfies their wants and needs are placing physical objects on their corners and along their boundaries for them to see and touch.
Generally, I agree Mr. Harris. Gathering disparate public information into a convenient format does not, in my view, fall into the category of requiring a licensed land surveyor.
In the notes on they make the statement “We believe it is the intent to go W 330 ft then south 30 ft then east 330 ft then N 30 ft to the point point of beginning.”
Wouldn’t that expression of opinion be something only a licensed surveyor do?
That’s just the blues, from the headline all the way down.
I guess we are getting replaced by uber. lol. This article has some good comments, the article not so great. https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-07-19/land-surveys-follow-path-drawn-by-uber-airbnb-and-tech-startups
