Albers. You’re bipolar, and have to see everything at once. North isn’t a single direction, it’s all directions. You don’t like exaggeration. Area is important to you.
What about Ablers? -

What about Albers?
It’s not really designed to be used for the world like the others. The hover text is quite good too:
“What’s that? You think I don’t like the Peters map because I’m uncomfortable having my cultural assumptions challenged? Are you sure you’re not… ::puts on sunglasses:: …projecting?”
I’m just one of those evil GIS people. Bwah-hah-hah! Seriously, I do coordinate systems and transformations at Esri. -
EVERY household with young children should have a GLODE.
Growing up with ONLY a Mercator Map on the wall of the Elementary School for reference (and more importantly, visualization), is one of the reasons that so many adults have problems with geography, and some surveyors with simple 3-dimensional understanding of coordinate systems and their underlying geometry.
Just my two-bits.

Now that’s what I call a globe !!
No projection there.“A globe. You are stickler for details. You always take issues to the Nth degree. You are not one to compromise.”

And if that map (since it has north up) is not on the north wall, it further warps one’s sense of your relationship to the world.
I blame some of my difficulty making intuition and logic agree on directions on the fact that my early school years had the world map on the west wall. To this day the area I live in now and the area I grew up in still have a different relationship between intuition and logical directions.
