Thanks for the previous post…. I used it for the stuff I had to do….
Rock on!!! ??????¬

I always use random pieces of scrap lumber laying around the sites for that purpose. LOL
Thanks Mike! Please don’t go out of your way! Just whenever.
I may have just stumbled across something that may work by digging around. Stake Surface. Have to make a TIN surface out of my points, then it let me select points and TURN TO with the laser on robotically.
I don’t believe we had the stake surface option. I think I use to accidentally fat finger and click it but it was either not a module we had or their was no tin surface in the DXF to work with.
Not sure about the 1100 but I changed a hot key on the 1200 from the “change face” key (my old helper used to always click that by accident) to laser on/off. So I could turn it on right from the robot.
Will try to check fieldgenius later when I get home but I know some settings aren’t available until you connect to a TS.
Many years ago I used the Tcra 1100 to layout points with the laser on wall forms but I was using SurvCE. As the forms are almost never in the exact position vertically and horizontally, the wall needs to be aligned with the N/S, E/W so you can use those directions when manually fine tuning the point. Basically I was getting something like N:0.004m, E: 0.003m when using auto turn to point, then I was slightly moving the telescope towards North and take another shot until I was reading N:0.000m. In this case the wall was along the N-S direction, so the E reading wouldn’t affect the location on the form. Same procedure for elevation. I remember I checked by tape the first few points and they were within 2mm, so from that moment I trusted the method and I just marked the center of the laser dot. TPS 1100 series robots have a pretty large laser dot, so you’ll have to be pretty close to what you’re laying out. Geomax Zoom90s are a much better tool for this kind of job.
Yes, this was it. I just DISABLED (UNCHECKED) SETTINGS>OPTIONS>STAKING>
ROBOTIC PRISM TRACKING
Now the robot will autoturn to the points with laser on. P E R F E C T .
THANK YOU MIKE!!!! ; )
Awesome! I literally just checked it and took a picture to attach here, but it’s exactly as you said. Have to turn off robotic prism tracking. Have to say that is one thing I’m glad I have now on Trimble is the “turn to” function without disabling robotic.
